Kidney-Shaped Teak and Glass Coffee Table by Stonehill — 1960s

A magnificent Mid-Century Modern long and low chest of drawers, handcrafted in richly figured American walnut by Bassett Furniture Industries during the early 1970s. Beautifully proportioned and exceptionally well made, this substantial piece embodies the clean architectural lines and understated elegance that defined the finest American furniture of the period. The dresser features an attractive symmetrical arrangement of nine smoothly running drawers. Three smaller drawers are positioned centrally, flanked on either side by two banks of three full-width drawers, creating a balanced composition that is both visually striking and highly practical. The continuous walnut grain, warm natural colour and refined detailing highlight the outstanding craftsmanship for which Bassett became renowned. Founded in 1902 in Bassett, Virginia, Bassett Furniture Industries grew from a family-owned sawmill into one of America’s most respected furniture manufacturers. During the post-war decades, the company earned an international reputation for producing beautifully crafted furniture using premium hardwoods, combining traditional cabinet-making techniques with the clean, modern aesthetics that came to define Mid-Century American design. This particular dresser has an interesting provenance, having been imported from the United States in the early 1970s by an American family who later relocated to England in the 1980s. It has remained in the same family ever since, adding a wonderful layer of history and authenticity. Our professional restoration team has carefully restored the piece while preserving its original character. The walnut has been meticulously sanded and refinished with premium hardwax oil and Danish oil, enhancing the timber’s rich grain and providing a durable, natural finish. Every drawer has been inspected, adjusted where necessary, and now runs smoothly, ensuring the cabinet is ready for many more decades of everyday use. This impressive dresser offers exceptional storage while serving as a statement piece, making it equally suited to a bedroom, living room, or entrance hall. DETAILS & DESIGN GUIDE

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DIE-CUT & EASY PEEL STICKERS?

When you select Custom Shaped Stickers, you have the choice of Die Cut or Easy Peel. For ALL Custom Shape Stickers, the sticker will have the shape of the contour of the artwork you provide - this is called the Contour Cut Path and can be indicated in vector artwork by a red dashed line which we will convert to a Cut Path when printing. When you peel a cat shaped sticker from the backing sheet - it will be cut in the shape of a cat (we indicate this on the proofs we send prior to printing). The difference is: with 'Easy Peel' selected - the sticker will be cut to the appropriate shape and have a backing sheet (either square or rectangular) which is larger than the cut-to-shape sticker which makes them easy to peel away from the backing sheet and apply to a surface. With the 'Die-Cut' option selected the sticker AND the backing sheet will be cut in the shape of the contour of the artwork shape - this is more difficult to peel but can look cool. (*Note: Die-cut stickers must have a white border for the cutting process). Both 'Easy Peel' and Die-Cut' stickers are cut to the shape of the artwork.

Once you have finished adding items to your shopping cart, select 'Checkout'. On The Checkout Page: select the file(s) for us to print and upload using the upload area located after the shipping address. If you need a bit of time – you can email it to us a bit later! DO I NEED A PAYPAL ACCOUNT TO PAY?

No. From the 'checkout' page select the option "Credit Cards". You can then enter your details securely in the fields provided.

HOW LONG WILL MY ORDER TAKE?

Production times will vary depending on the volume of orders currently in house (all times are from the moment you approve your digital proof):

All of our garments are printed Direct-to-Garment (DTG) with water-based, 100% non-toxic ink. In other words, we’ve ditched the yucky stuff and our process is safe, supercharged and as sustainable as possible.

WHERE IS MY ORDER PRINTED?

All items are printed in our Qualicum Beach Facility with the exception of larger quantities of stationary items which will be printed on an offset press.

Our products are printed in-house on the latest digital equipment. Our sticker inks are water-proof, fade-proof and Eco Greenguard Gold Certified. Our garments, face masks and tote bags are printed using water-based, 100% non-toxic ink.

Every item we produce is custom made and crafted for the customer who has ordered it. Because of this, we are unable to accept returns. DO YOU STORE MY INFO. ON YOUR WEBSITE?

The only information stored on our secure website is your shipping address and email address. Credit card information is sent to PayPal and processed by PayPal. We DO NOT store your credit card information on our website.

I HAVE A VALID BC PST NUMBER

ARTWORK GUIDELINES

Preferred File Format: vector based .AI, .EPS or PDF with all type to outlines.
Usable File Formats: .PNG or .PSD files with a transparent background (our printer prints white - so a white background will print white)
File Resolution: Minimum 300 dpi/ppi

Tips to print the best things possible:

  1. If you are supplying vector files (we love that), please make sure to outline your type (we may have thousands of fonts, but we might not have one you are using).
  2. Bigger is better - if you are uncertain of the resolution you are exporting - go big. We can always down-size and image, but a 72 dpi image will not provide a satisfactory result for your print.
  3. If your supplied artwork is suitable, we will size and prepare it for print at no extra charge. If your supplied artwork requires digital surgery, we will inform you and provide options.
  4. Send us an example. If you are uncertain whether or not your artwork will print the way you want it to - email us an example at [email protected]
  5. Don't Panic! If you have questions or are unsure about something, shoot us an email or drop us a line during business hours. We want to print your things so that they look the best they possibly can. If your things don't look good, we don't look good!
